The Sikh community has been essential in developing and continuing to drive multicultural values, politics and the economy — both locally and nationally. Sikh Studies at UCalgary gives students tools to apply and think through the Sikh worldview, embracing pluralism, equity, diversity and compassion for others.
Calgary Institute for the Humanities' LGBTQ2S+ Lecture Series Endowment
Launched in 2019, the CIH LGBTQ2S+ Lecture Series provides an open, free and accessible forum to discuss issues of vital importance to the LGBTQ2S+ community. This lecture brings an academic perspective to Calgary’s Pride Week and is a key component in UCalgary’s commitment to issues of diversity and inclusion and promoting these values in the communities we serve.
Wagonstage Children's Theatre Endowment
Each year, for half a century, UCalgary has engaged young artists in work-integrated learning through Wagonstage, a family-friendly touring theatre ensemble. Emerging artists from the School of Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA) write, design, direct, and present these popular summer performances at various locations throughout the city.
