In the B.A. (COMS) program, you will explore the complex world of communications, its dynamics, and its impact on contemporary societies and cultures. You will also gain the knowledge to communicate ideas effectively to a variety of audiences. In our courses, you have the opportunity to investigate communication across a variety of media including speech, writing, and digital media.
As a Communication and Media Studies graduate, you'll be prepared for career opportunities in areas such as the civil service, the non-profit sector, and the business world. A degree in Communication and Media Studies can also be used as a stepping-stone to graduate studies or another professional degree such as law, medicine, veterinary medicine, or education.
The Bachelor of Arts degree is offered as either a B.A. or B.A. (Honours), both requiring the completion of 120 units and normally four years of full-time study.
