Emerging Leaders Program

Build Your Leadership Identity

The Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) is a perfect way to kickstart your university journey. ELP runs from September to April, and connects you to other new-to-UCalgary students and senior student volunteers in a supportive and connected community.

You’ll become part of an amazing group of first-year students as you participate in exciting leadership workshops and socials only available to ELP students.

Mentorship or Buddy Component

We want to equip you with the best supports during a time of transition in your academic journey. As an ELP participant, you have the opportunity to shape your first-year experience by choosing to be paired with either a senior student buddy or staff member mentor as you navigate through your exciting first year at the University of Calgary.
