Introduction
Congratulations on being accepted into the Bachelor of Science degree program in the Schulich School of Engineering. The Schulich School of Engineering is developing a reputation as one of the most progressive engineering schools in the country and the first choice for talented, creative and leadership-oriented engineers.
The Schulich School of Engineering's seven Bachelor of Science degree programs are fully accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board. Accreditation means that graduates will be accepted as engineers-in-training in all Canadian provinces and internationally (including the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Hong Kong, and more). The Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering requires the completion of 44 to 46 half course equivalents (132-138 credits) and normally four years of full-time study. Choosing an internship will add an additional year to your degree plan.
The Schulich School of Engineering also offers an eighth BSc degree program: Energy Engineering. This two-year program builds on the coursework from approved Diploma of Technology programs at polytechnics such as SAIT (Southern Alberta Institute of Technology) and, as such, the program details are significantly different from those of the other seven programs. Students with an approved diploma in geomatics engineering technology can also earn their BSc in Geomatics Engineering in just three years through our polytechnic transfer pathway.
The information provided in this Registration Guide is intended to aid students enrolling in one of the seven four-year Bachelor of Science degree programs.
