The OEDI is committed to establishing an equitable, diverse, and inclusive campus that is accessible to all and free from harassment, bullying, and discrimination. We strive to remove barriers that have been, and continue to be, encountered by equity seeking groups, including women, Indigenous peoples, visible/racialized minorities, persons with disabilities, and LGBTQ2S+.

Q Centre
The Students’ Union’s Q Centre is a safe, comfortable and inviting space for the LGBTQA+ community at UCalgary. Featuring a library and peer support services, the program coordinators and volunteers plan events and direct clients to relevant resources. Guests are welcome to hang out and socialize.
Sexual Violence Support
Everyone responds to sexual violence, accesses supports, and heals from trauma in their own way. The Sexual Violence Support Advocate is here to support you, and help you determine what is right for you.

Scarborough National Charter
The Scarborough National Charter on anti-Black racism and Black Inclusion is a commitment by institutions across Canada to redressing anti-Black racism and foster Black inclusion in higher education. The Charter was a co-creation process involving close collaboration with academic institutions, governments, Black political and civic leaders across Canada to recognize the realities of anti-Black racism and develop concrete steps for action in advancing equity and inclusion.
