Canadian Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarships Program
This internship opportunity will be carried out in partnership with the University of Calgary, the host organizations in Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya and Ethiopia, and with the technical support of Universities Canada. The QES program engages a dynamic community of young global leaders across the Commonwealth to create lasting impact both at home and abroad through cross-cultural exchanges encompassing international education, discovery and inquiry, and professional experiences.
MA grad’s hard path from Ghana and polio to UCalgary convocation stage
When David Achuroa’s name is called on Friday afternoon at the University of Calgary’s fall convocation ceremony he’ll rise up, steady himself on his leg braces and cross the Olympic Oval stage on crutches to formally accept his MA in social cultural anthropology.
