Earn two degrees, from your university and UCalgary. Complete your first 2 or 3 undergraduate years at your university and finish with 2 years at UCalgary. 2+2 programs get you 2 bachelor's degrees, 3+2 get you a bachelor's degree from your university and a master's degree from UCalgary.

Program requirements

Program requirements

GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale or equivalent (80%) on all transfer subjects, calculated from the most recent 30 credit hours completed. Prerequisite courses may apply. A TOEFL score of at least 86 (ibT), IELTS score of 6.5 or equivalent score on another English language test. If you don’t meet ELP, see the ACC program.

You’re responsible for all costs: tuition, travel to Canada, room and board, insurance, student fees including books, student services fee, athletics, campus recreation, health and dental, and any additional required English courses.

After you've applied

If accepted, you'll be notified by email or mail by May 15, 2021. You must accept or decline your offer of admission within 10 business days. Speak with a faculty advisor, register for courses, apply for residence and obtain a student permit. Contact us at [email protected].

How to apply for 2+2 and 3+2 programs

You need to have 2 or 3 undergraduate years completed at a partner Chinese university to be eligible to apply. To confirm eligibility, please check with your home university or connect to us via WeChat, our ID is UCalgary2500.

Select program & get nominated

Select your program and ensure you meet the program requirements. Inform your home university you want to apply. They will nominate prospective candidates. Only nominated students may apply.

Apply by March 1, 2021

Once nominated, apply online by March 1, 2021 for your chosen science, arts or engineering program and pay the application fee. Your home university will provide you with a link to the online application.

Submit required documents

University transcripts with complete fall grades. Transcripts in English, or a certified English translation and the original language document. Email transcripts to [email protected]. If admitted, mail your official paper transcripts to UCalgary prior to program start.
