Thank you for your interest in becoming a peer volunteer. The Student Success Centre has opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students to enhance their presentation and student-advising skills.
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Student Success Centre. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis. Please follow the instructions to complete the application for the position you are interested in if you'd like to be contacted for the next round of interviews. You'll be contacted as positions become available.
The Student Success Centre has two volunteer positions: PASS Assistant and Virtual Study Group Peer. All volunteer positions require a commitment of three to five hours per week.
Volunteer positions at the SSC are part of the Peer Helper Program.

PASS Assistant Peer Helpers
The PASS Assistant Peer Helpers provide support in the Peer-Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) for various courses. You'll build co-facilitation skills and learn how to encourage a peer collaborative approach to learning.

Study Group Peer Helpers
Study Group Peer Helpers organize and facilitate Virtual Study Groups to engage students within courses they are participating in for themselves and fellow students. Students can build skills in supporting others, and have a chance to share study tips with new students.
In all roles, Peer Helpers will work with SSC staff on projects as needed, and may have the opportunity to present seminars about academic strategies and study skills at SSC events.
The Student Success Centre strives to create a learning environment for the all Peer Helpers. Peers will have the opportunity to perform all functions as the schedule allows; however, peers will primarily perform the functions of their designated role.
