Our peer support program
Peer Support: helping you help yourself
Our peer support program supports peers in making informed choices by providing information and access to resources, while recognizing that each person is resilient and has the strength to be her own agent of change and development.
Our volunteers are trained to assist and advocate, both in groups and one-on-one. Peer Supporters develop skills in active listening and crisis response.
Our volunteers suggest local and international organizations and resources in our peer support services which can also be found in our online searchable database. At this time, we are currently updating our online searchable database.
Peer support is available to everyone. We welcome students, staff, faculty and community members alike. If you would like to speak to a Peer Supporter, contact us to arrange a time.
Drop in for Peer Support
Peer Support is available virtually from Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
To access peer support online, enter via our virtual front desk. Shortly after you will be placed in a Zoom waiting room, and a staff member will promptly greet you.
