Rates 2022-23

Rates are in effect May 2022 - April 2023

All first-year students under the age of 21 live in single or double occupancy rooms in a first-year dormitory-style residence and are guaranteed residence for the first two years of their study at the University of Calgary. First-year undergraduate residents are required to purchase a meal plan.

Beginning Fall 2022, an additional $75 tenant insurance fee will be added. There will be an option to opt out. More information to come.

Residence fees are due Sept. 23, 2022 (fall term) and Jan. 27, 2023 (winter term) — these fees include furniture, utilities and internet services.

    Scholars Advantage Community

All second-year students, including transfer and international students, live in in furnished two or three bedroom suite-style apartments with a shared kitchenette, bathroom, and a private bedroom.

Undergraduate students in their third-year or higher of post-secondary and under the age of 27 have the option of living in furnished studio, one bedroom, two bedroom, and four bedroom units with full kitchens.

North Residence (CR, VC): Residence fees are due the first business day each month excluding September, where they are due Sept. 7 — these fees include furniture, utilities and internet services.

Graduate students, students that have completed an undergraduate degree or mature students (27+ years old) have the option of living in one bedroom, studio, or two bedroom apartments in Crowsnest Hall or in a two bedroom townhouse in Varsity Courts.

Residents must reside with a spouse or common-law partner (with or without children), or as a single parent living with children. Applicants must be affiliated with the university.

Residence fees for Family & Couples Housing is paid monthly. These fees include utilities and internet services.

  • Spring term: May 4 to June 30 and Summer term: June 26 to Aug 23.
