Social media and newsletter submissions

Have an event or initiative you'd like to promote to Indigenous students? Please fill out this form if you’d like the Writing Symbols Lodge team to promote your content in our newsletters, event calendar or social media channels.

Submission deadlines:

  • Social media: Minimum of five days’ notice
  • Newsletters:
    • WSL Student Announcements are sent bi-weekly on Tuesdays. Please ensure that you submit your content by Thursday of the week prior
    • Bear Tracks is a quarterly newsletter, sent to the public. If you're interested in sharing your event beyond UCalgary students, this is the newsletter for you!

Recommended image sizes

  • Facebook: 1200 x 630 pixels
  • Instagram: 1080 x 1080 pixels
  • Newsletter: 600 x 500 pixels
  • Events calendar: 600 x 400 pixels

Note: Images with words/copy superimposed on them will not be included in SES-produced newsletters. Please submit images that only display a photo or illustration.
