Supporting your student
Access the services available to help your student make the most of their time here. Get support to be successful as a student and take care of your physical, mental, spiritual, academic and financial well-being. It’s important that your student is engaged in more than their course work. Encourage your student to explore clubs, meet their professors and take part in leadership opportunities. Not only will they do better at school, but they'll also build positive relationships with peers and gain new skills.

As your student prepares to apply for university, here are a number of helpful resources you can use to support them with their application.
Submitting the online application
The University of Calgary will accept applications for admission for the fall 2022 intake from October 1, 2021 to March 1, 2022.
Degree Profiles
Encourage your student to visit our Degree Profile resource to find clarity and gain confidence on their career path. These profiles look at potential jobs, key skills and attributes, as well as associations and professional development as they relate to each degree and potential career path.
UCalgary’s Career Wheel
Is your student looking for some guidance on their career development? The career wheel is an excellent place for them to start their planning and review the common stages of the career development process.

We would encourage you to have your student connect with us directly and we will be happy to support them with UCalgary’s application.
